The England Under-21 shot-stopper, who usually makes the senior squad, was impressive on-loan at Charlton last season but after the Addicks' relegation returned to Liverpool, were Spain international Reina is first-choice and recently signed a new long-term contract.
And Carson is concerned at the effect this will have on him making Steve McClaren's squad for the Euro 2008 qualifiers and, should England qualify, the tournament itself.
"I think you can only get in the England squad when you are playing games regularly but we'll have to wait and see what happens next season and take it from there," the 22-year-old former Leeds man said.
"Nothing is sorted as yet; I'm just concentrating on the tournament at the moment."Labels: football news, news |
