Over 20,000 flight vouchers were given away by American Airlines, a division of AMR Corp, to basketball supporters at the Dallas Mavericks game on Wednesday evening (19 April).
According to Reuters the giveaway was designed to promote Dallas Love Field Airport, from which the airline recently began flying.
The company also offered a chance to win vouchers to an additional 1,000 fans watching the game on television if they took part in a text-message promotion via their mobile phones.
If all the vouchers are redeemed they could have a face value of more than USD3m, based on the average USD79 one-way fare on American's Love Field services, The Associated Press reported.Labels: basketball, free ticket |
