Justine Henin-Hardenne returns to tennis in Paris
|
World number one ranked woman tennis star Justine Henin-Hardenne makes her comeback to sport in Paris next month and she explained absence, was as suspected, due to her marriage problems.
Justine Henin-Hardenne will make her return at the Open Gaz de France, which starts on 5 February. Belgian tennis player Justine Henin-Hardenne, 24, had withdrawn from the Australian Open "for family reasons" and the press and world of tennis had speculated that she and husband Pierre-Yves Hardenne, whom she married in 2002, had broken up.
Some news agencies even reported that she was going to divorce from her husband and go back to her maiden name, "Justine Henin."
"Pierre-Yves and I have decided to separate - the reasons are personal," Justine Henin-Hardenne confirmed on her website.
Justine Henin-Hardenne is back but she will, however, lose her world number one ranking because she has not defended the points she gained at last year's Open. |
