Ajax are through to the last eight of the Amstel Cup after a comfortable 4-0 win over Eerste Divisie club Haarlem FC on Wednesday.

An eighth minute own goal by Ray Frankel set the defending champions on their way, with further goals by Leonardo Santiago (34) and Kenneth Perez (40 and 90) sealing the victory.

In Enschede, Mike Zonneveld struck a 90th minute winner to help high-flying NAC Breda overcome FC Twente 2-1 at the Arke Stadion.

South African striker Glen Salmon open the scoring after 31 minutes for the visitors, before Sharbel Touma equalised from the penalty spot in the 75th minute.

However, it was not enough as Zonneveld's strike meant an eighth consecutive game without defeat for Ernie Brandts team.

Elsewhere, another Eerste Divisie side crashed out with Ricky Kruys' 68th minute winner enough for FC Utrecht to overcome RBC Roosendaal at the Nieuwe Galgenwaard.

In Wednesday's final game, Luwamo Garcia scored an extra-time winner to help RKC Waalwijk come from behind to beat Sparta Rotterdam 3-2 at the ENECO stadium.

Inderlindo Moreno Freire had put the home team ahead after just 10 minutes, before Hans van de Haar (18 and 39) handed the advantage back to the visitors.

Yuri Rose (58) brought the Rotterdammers back into the game before Garcia scored what proved to be the winner in the 96th minute.
